The best place to work

There’s a place to work. It’s wonderful. It’s a place of solidarity, curiosity and kindness. It’s a safe place that summons feelings of calm contentment, of being present in the moment. It’s a heart-warming experience; uplifting, generous, exciting, emotionally fulfilling.

I’m amongst friends. We ride the ups and downs of the day-to-day. And as difficult as things might get, we're grateful for being able to work together and we celebrate that more than we complain how painful a situation might be.

We do meaningful work. We inspire fresh thinking, shake up the status quo and spark new ideals. We make life brighter. We create positive impact without politics.

We hang out, go on holiday, celebrate meat, brew beer and conjure new cocktails together. We snowboard in Austria, barbecue at Summer Camp, journey to Oktoberfest, and dress up for the Christmas banquet.

There’s Gemutlichkeit, Hygge. An attitude, a lifestyle choice. A focus on wellbeing from good food, great company and perhaps a drink. Time with friends involving coffee, cake or alcohol is good for the soul.

We work with human nature. We try things. We learn. We challenge. We answer to each other. There is willingness to work through disagreements. The way we work balances our humanity and productivity. It is social.

We tell stories, regale times gone by and plan future fun. We laugh and cry. We dance and hug. We share the good times and bad. It’s about recalling that 3am conga line in Schladming with a big grin on your face.

There’s something profoundly comforting and secure about this working environment. There’s true friendship, interest, good cheer, peace of mind, and sense of belonging.

It is work. It’s also life.

Good company, enjoyment of simple pleasures, mindful of a moment. This place lifts the spirit. We have mojo.

Because every moment is precious.
