Austrian wine regions

Vines are synonymous with the Austrian landscape, culture and daily life. The four main wine regions are Lower Austria, Vienna, Burgenland and Styria, which are split into sixteen districts. These regions are located in the north and east of the country and provide ideal geological and climatic elements creating the best conditions for making authentic, distinctive wines with character and personality. Moreover, Austrian vintners and producers have successfully combined traditional viticulture with modern vinification processes.

Austrian wine culture is diverse. White wines range from lively and light-bodied to monumental and opulent. Red wines range from charmingly fruity to full-bodied with long cellaring potential. There's also a wide variety of enticing and elegant sweet wines.

Austrian wines pair really well with food. They're also totally gluggable; sheer drinking pleasure.
