Hi. My name is Simon Baker. Friends call me Si.
I am an experienced founder, entrepreneur, and veteran of the internet industry with 20+ years across diverse industry sectors. These days I work as an advisor, consultant, director and investor helping bold start-ups and big brands to make a radical difference. I help business leaders, executives, and founders to explore possibilities, shape their visions, prototype strategies, and prepare to execute their aspirations. But right now I’m training to be a chef at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.
Whatever I’m up to I want to spark positive change—to inspire fresh thinking, reimagine what’s possible, and empower human endeavours that will make life brighter. I bring optimism and energy, humanity and humour, creativity and strategic imagination, with a challenger mindset and an empirical approach. What I value most are friendship, curiosity and responsibility.
On a more personal note, I’m a Welshman living a bohemian life between London Peckham and Vienna. I’m passionate about cooking and food causes. I’m a gastronaut in pursuit of epicurean adventure, and an unrepentant carnivore, smoker of meat and wannabe butcher. I’m also a seasoned Oktoberfester and a bit of a beer snob, wine geek and cocktail lover. After a few broken bones I’m still an avid snowboarder. More recently I’ve become a messy artist.
